VEHICLE NOTES

Start with the system.
Not just the badge.

Porsche key work requires model-generation checks before availability can be confirmed. A vehicle-specific assessment is particularly important when no key remains.

A HELPFUL FIRST QUESTION

What model generation and year is the vehicle, and do you have a working key?

Models you may be asking about.

911, Cayenne, Macan, Panamera, Taycan. Other Porsche models can be described in your request. This list helps identify the vehicle; it is not a compatibility or parts-availability list.

KEYS, LOCKS & ACCESS / PORSCHE

Porsche systems.
The concerns we assess.

Cayenne, Macan and 911 models do not share one universal key procedure. Similar components used by another marque do not establish Porsche compatibility.

01 / PORSCHE

Starting authorization

Describe ignition response and warning messages so key recognition can be separated from other no-start causes.

02 / PORSCHE

KESSY-equipped models

Earlier equipped models can involve access/start and steering-lock assessment. The installed system guides the next step.

03 / PORSCHE

Spare or lost keys

The model generation, part identity and presence of a surviving key determine the request.

Have this ready: Porsche model, year and generation, ignition response, key count and recent replacement parts.

Make your request specific.

A Porsche with a working spare presents a different starting point from one with no keys. Tell us whether the doors unlock, the engine starts, and what appears on the dashboard. Include the year and model.

Can you work on every Porsche key?

Support depends on the exact model, year, market and security system. Some vehicles need manufacturer or specialist procedures. Confirm eligibility before arranging a visit.

What should I send in the first message?

Your Porsche model and year, whether any working key remains, a description of the concern, and the vehicle location in Rockland County. Do not include identity documents in an initial email.

Should I buy a replacement remote first?

Ask about compatibility before buying. Remote appearance, button count and broad seller fitment claims are not sufficient to establish the right part.
